Not One Puff (NOP) Rules

At ABL, we have a ‘not one puff’ rule. This means that rather than slowly cutting down the number of cigarettes you smoke a day, you choose a day to have your final cigarette and then stay quit. By doing this, your body can get used to not smoking and you can build a life without cigarettes.

We encourage this as it’s the most effective way to stopping smoking. If you quit by cutting down your cigarettes, the risk is that you may never actually stop smoking.

As well as this, it has been proven that if you cut down rather than quit, you may actually smoke your cigarettes harder. So you would be inhaling more tobacco, nicotine etc. That’s why it’s important to set a Quit Date that works for you.
